It looks like CD Projekt Red will reveal the upgraded version of Cyberpunk 2077 for consoles soon but the question right now is whether it will have any impact.

Cyberpunk 2077 had a rough launch for many reasons but one of them was that the game was arguably too much for the last-gen consoles. Poor performance and glitches are often mentioned as the first among the many flaws the game has and it appears those who purchased PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S are getting a better experience soon.

On February 14, 2022, rumours started flying about the upgraded version of Cyberpunk 2077 getting the upgraded version for the new consoles imminently. At first, those who spotted it thought it would be a silent release as the game's icon appeared in a list of games optimised for Xbox Series X/S without an official announcement from CDPR.

However, the developers officially announced a stream with some CP2077 news not long after and it's supposed to start on February 15, 2022, at 4:00 PM CET / 7:00 AM PT / 10:00 AM EDT.

While there is no direct mention of a PS5 version yet, it's safe to assume it will be released alongside the XSX/S one because it's hard to imagine CDPR would want to invoke the ire of one of the largest player bases in the world. Then again, they did release CP2077 in a state not many expected in the first place.

Either way, chances are console players are getting the upgraded version of CP2077 tomorrow so keep your eyes peeled if you're itching to give the game a new, smoother run.
