Try as we might we can't think of a current game that's as highly anticipated as Cyberpunk 2077 and since not everyone can visit their Gamescom 2019 booth, CD Projekt Red have just announced a live CP2077 gameplay stream for next week.
Gamescom 2019 is in full swing, of course, and CDPR wrote they've already met many Cyberpunk 2077 fans, which we're sure was breathtaking, wink wink.
Thankfully, the team aren't forgetting about the fans who are watching from home, and they've got some great news. Namely, next week they'll be hosting a Cyberpunk 2077 stream in which they'll "unveil a 15-minute edit of what [they]'ve been showing to journalists and gamers here at Gamescom".
Cyberpunk 2077's gameplay stream is set for 30 August, 8PM CEST (11AM PT) on the studio's official Twitch and Mixer channels.
It's not just about the gameplay though, even though we can't get enough of Cyberpunk 2077's demos, as CDPR said the 15-minute edit will be followed by behind-the-scenes interviews with devs, which will provide more context into what you've seen.
"Expect a lot of insight into the thought process behind creative decisions, information about Pacifica—one of the districts of Night City - and TONS of stuff on playstyles you'll be able to adopt when you launch Cyberpunk 2077 next year", they wrote.
The stream will be hosted by CDPR's UK head of comms Hollie Bennett, whereas the dev line up will include some familiar faces.
CDPR had another announcement too, although it's not as jolly as the streaming one.
"We initially planned to showcase gameplay at PAX West, but there's been a change of plans, and we'll be streaming from Warsaw. The PAX cosplay contest is still on; we just won't have the dev panel on-site this time around. There are many logistical (and some creative) reasons behind this decision, but the most important thing we want to say is that we're sorry for the change of plans", they wrote.
CDPR
Although singleplayer was always the main star of Cyberpunk 2077's planned experience, many fans have been wondering about the multiplayer component, which is still in the R&D phase.
CDPR stressed that while they are thinking about it and trying things out, Cyberpunk's release will fully focus on singleplayer. In a trademark CDRP-honesty way, they said they're not interested in and calling it a day.
