Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will launch in October 2020. Those who have pre-purchased the upcoming game will get a chance to play its demo starting September 16.
Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will launch on October 2 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One.
The new game is a sequel to the original trilogy and will see the return of Tawna Bandicoot, along with the introduction of Flashback levels.
Those who pre-order the game don't have to wait until October 2 to give the new Crash a spin. Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time's demo will be available on September 16.
The demo will feature three levels from the full game and these include:
- Snow Way Out
- Dino Dash
- Snow Way Out (Cortex Timeline)
Snow Way Out
This level is set in the 11th Dimension circa 1954 and sees Crash using the Time Mask – Kupuna-Wa – to slow down ice blocks and temporary platforms for safe passage.
The other "traditional" Crash level included in this demo will bring in a nostalgia-filled chase sequence alongside traditional platforming. This level will give the players the option to use another mask - he Phase Shift Mask, Lani-Loli - to phase platforms, obstacles, and boxes into the physical dimension.
Snow Way Out (Cortex Timeline)
This timeline features Neo Cortex as a playable character. The alternate perspective of the level will put you in the shoes of the villainous Dr Neo Cortex, who can turn enemies into platforms or gelatinous cubes to bounce on.
Twana will also be a playable character available at launch. She'll use her trusty hook-shot, ascend to new heights with her acrobatic wall jump, and knock out enemies with her powerful ground-pounds and spin kicks.
Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will feature Flashback Tapes, each containing its very own Flashback level.
