Funcom have recently published their financial report for Q3 2018 and one of the more interesting things were their plans to release a single player campaign for Conan Exiles. It is only in pre-production so there is no exact release date.

When the singleplayer campaign does come, however, it will land on PC, PS4 and Xbox One simultaneously, at least according to the current plans. Players will unfortunately not have the ability to make their own character though, since they will be playing as Conan the Barbarian himself.

While Conan Exiles is not among the most popular games on Steam, Funcom have been stabilizing the player base for the past two months with regular updates. Considering that the company still has a lot in store for the game, it would be a fair guess to say some players might come back or even an influx of new ones is possible in the days to come.

With that in mind, Funcom will not be only focused on Conan Exiles in the near future as they have several other major projects going on. For example, Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden is launching on 04 December 2018 and while the game is being developed by The Bearded Ladies, Funcom will be doing the publishing part.

Funcom is also collaborating with Petroglyph Games on a new Conan game, not connected to Exiles, which will be a PC exclusive. This is an interesting move in today's gaming market, but it could hint to mechanics too complex to be handled by console controllers.

They are also working with Rock Pocket Games on a project that will be supposedly released around Halloween 2019, but no other info is available at the moment. Same goes for a multiplayer co-op shooter within the Heroic Signatures IP and an open world multiplayer game that's still in the concept stage. Well, there is slightly more info for the latter two - they will come on all major platforms, PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
