Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is shaping up to be a title that focuses on everything players have wanted for the past few years. Under the reign of Treyarch, the game is heading in a positive direction, according to recent leaks and rumours.
In a recent string of leaks, it was unveiled that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will feature a full-blown classic prestige system, which has been a beloved feature since the game's inception. With the classic prestige system, once a player manages to make their way to the highest level cap, they will be able to unlock different prestige emblems.
In recent Call of Duty titles, the classic prestige system has been replaced by the new seasonal level-cap prestige system. However, with recent mentions of theatre mode making a comeback in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, it seems like Treyarch might bring back the classic prestige system in their upcoming title.
Classic Prestige System is making a comeback
According to Call of Duty leaker BobNetworkUK, the classic prestige system is returning in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. Previously seen in Treyarch's Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, the prestige system was left out for a new battle pass model with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019).
However, there has been no confirmation about whether the new classic prestige system will replace the battle pass levelling system or become a separate feature of its own. But we can expect the battle pass system to stick around, and the classic prestige system to simply replace the seasonal level cap and prestige challenges.
Take everything with a grain of salt until official confirmation regarding intricate features of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 arrives. However, considering BobNetworkUK's leaks have been solid matches for the last few games, we can fully expect the classic prestige system to make a full comeback in the new game this year.
