Capcom have officially announced a brand new Monster Hunter game. Named Riders, it is coming to mobile phones, both Android and iOS this winter in Japan as a free-to-play title.
Monster Hunter franchise is set to become richer for another game. Capcom have announced a mobile spinoff named Monster Hunter: Riders, which is coming this winter. At the moment, Capcom only confirmed the Japanese version and by the looks of it, the game will not be coming to EU and NA in the near future.
The publisher also revealed a bit of gameplay, showcasing some of the locations, characters and combat moves. The trailer does not show much but it is enough to see what the game is actually about. See for yourself below.
Capcom also released an official description which gives us several new details about the game. Monster Hunter Riders is set on the continent of Felgia, where humans and monsters live in union. There is a mention of a refreshing command battle system with flashy skills which allow players to "play the game smoothly".
On top of this, Riders will feature a ton of customisation options. Since the game is free-to-play it is safe to expect plenty of item-based micro-transactions.
Players can expect to find Rathalos, Zinogre, Nargacuga, Glavenus, and other popular monsters from the Monster Hunter series. More monsters will be added in post-launch updates.
