A job listing on Infinity Ward's official site reveals a brand new unannounced open-world RPG title in development.

Call of Duty studio Infinity Ward could be moving away from Call of Duty in the near future. In a since-deleted job listing on their official website, Infinity Ward have accidentally leaked some minor details about their next project, which is an open-world RPG.

Yes, Call of Duty devs, known for the critically acclaimed Modern Warfare series and Call of Duty Warzone, will be diving into the unknown for them - the RPG genre.

The details about the project are pretty scarce but the job description mentions "cinematic experience", "non-linear narratives" and of course "AAA quality."

Judging by that, it does seem like this unannounced game will have a strong story, lore and world-building focus since those words are also mentioned in the description.

Since the job listing was found online, Infinity Ward removed it from their page and have not provided any further comment.

Infinity Ward are currently putting finishing touches on Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 which is slated to launch later this year. When exactly the team decide to announce their new project remains to be seen but to be honest, having such a talented studio working on something completely different is very exciting.
