The next Assassin's Creed protagonist may have popped up on a t-shirt. A distinctly Egyptian looking rendition of an Assassin's Creed character has surfaced on NeoGAF and the rumored director of the next series entry commented on the leak on Twitter.
UbiSoft just can't get a break with all these . First there was that unfortunate a short while ago, and now this.
If you scroll down the Twitter back and forth, a lot of fans are crying "announce it already".
Ashraf Ismail is rumoured to be the next Assassin's Creed game's director, and was previously in charge of Black Flag. He didn't comment on the shirt any further than "Nice t-shirt".
If the leak is as authentic and as intentional as we suspect, the next game's protagonist will be called Bayek and the imagery is unquestionably infused with some Egyptian flare all over.
Notable for all leaks so far was the fact that a shield and bow feature prominently alongside the usual cool dude with a hoody approach to character design the series is famous for. Might this mean that a stronger emphasis on ranged combat could bring more open level design with it?
We will know when UbiSoft decides to announce it already.
