Fortnite June Hotfix Highlights
Here are all the highlights from the recent Fortnite Hotfix in June 2024:
Item Changes:
- Assault Rifles: The Warforged Assault Rifle has been vaulted and replaced by the Combat Assault Rifle, which is a fan favorite. It has a heavy recoil, making it more effective up close.
- Tow Hook Cannon: Its spawn rate has been reduced as it has appeared too frequently since its introduction.
- Nitro Fists: Though not officially noted, players have noticed a reduction in Nitro Fists spawns. The Mythic variant is still available but less common. This might be a temporary bug. Meanwhile, the Metallica Guitar Mythic can be used.
Metallica Crossover:
The first significant update of Chapter 5 Season 3 includes several major improvements and the new Fortnite X Metallica crossover.
Metallica Loot Island
Revamped Loot Island: As part of the Metallica crossover, Loot Island has been redesigned and now includes the new Metallica Mythic, the Guitar. The Ride the Lightning Guitar adds unique gameplay elements.
Map Changes
- Lake Drying Up: The central lake on the map is drying up.
- Nitro Dome Changes: This area has seen some updates.
Weapon Changes
EMP Grenade
New Counter for Cars: EMP Grenades have been introduced to address the issue of overpowered vehicles. These grenades can disable a car with one burst, adding a new level of strategy to vehicle gameplay.
New Weapons
- Tow Hook Cannon: Functions like a grappling hook, allowing players to attach to cars.
- Hunting Rifle: A new type of hunting rifle has been added, offering variety now that the Sniper is vaulted.
- Combat AR: Available in both basic and mythic forms.
Miscellaneous Changes
- Victory Umbrella: Players who previously won a game but didn’t receive the proper Victory Umbrella will now find it in their inventory.
- Battle Pass Super Styles: New Super Styles have been added to the Battle Pass, offering unique stretch goals and styles to showcase player progress throughout the season.
