Rainbow Six cheaters have come up with a new way to finish off opponents as several players witnessed exploits such as flying during the prep phase and walking through walls. This way, cheaters are winning before the round even starts.

Slightly Mad Studios are developing a new console that's aiming for 4K 60 FPS gaming and VR, as has been confirmed by the company's CEO Ian Bell. Dubbed the Mad Box, the console will have a free engine for developers and high-end hardware.

Erik Wolpaw, the man who co-wrote Portal 2, both Half-Life 2 episodes and Left 4 Dead is back at Valve two years after he left the company. Wolpaw follows his colleague writer Jay Pinkerton who also returned to Valve in July last year.

Developer and publisher Rebellion announced the acquisition of Yorkshire-based studio Tick Tock Games, who worked on Rogue Trooper Redux. With this acquisition, Rebellion now owns a total of four studios working on unannounced projects.

Frictional Games' first-person horror game Soma is now free to download on GOG's store. The offer is part of the GOG's Winter Sale and you can claim your copy until 30 December 2018, 12:00 CET. It's also free of any DRM protections.
