Ubisoft Blue Byte GmbH is a German video game holding company owned by Ubisoft. It was founded in October 1988 by Thomas Hertzler and Lothar Schmitt as a developer and was best known for developing the Anno and The Settlers series. The studio was acquired by Ubisoft in 2001.

Anno 1800 gets City Lights Pack DLC and Game Update 9.1

Ubisoft and Blue Byte have rolled out the next Anno 1800 DLC called City Lights Pack, which adds ornaments and lights to your creations, as well as Game Update 9.1.

Anno 1800 - celebrating the release of Passage DLC with a free week

Anno 1800 just got its third DLC called The Passage. The new content adds the immense Arctic to the title, along with two new citizen tiers, a fresh airship system and a host of new quests. The game will also have a free week event that will go live on December 11.

Anno 1800 trailer teases Botanica DLC

Blue Byte and Ubisoft have finally rolled out the highly anticipated Game Update 4 for their excellent city builder and real-time strategy Anno 1800, adding the Sunken Treasures DLC, rebalanced expeditions, better zooming and a few more.

German developer Blue Byte have taken to Twitter to announce that their delicious city-building strategy Anno 1800 is officially the franchise's fastest selling entry, and the post is signed by ''60 extremely grateful game developers''.

Ubisoft have announced Anno 1800 Season Pass and plans for free post-launch content that will release throughout 2019. The Season Pass will include three major DLCs while the free content will add Co-op mode and Community Challenges.
