Pokemon GO's Season of Mischief is gearing up to welcome Hoopa on September 5, and right after that, we'll say hi to two more Pokemon: Inkay and its Evolution, Malamar.

This year's Psychic Spectacular event will see Inkay, the Revolving Pokemon, and Malamar, the Overturning Pokemon, make their Pokemon GO debuts. These two's imminent arrival was hinted at in the Season of Mischief event overview but now we finally have more details.

Wednesday, September 8, 2021, 10:00 a.m. to Monday, September 13, 2021, 8:00 p.m. local time.

Features

  • Pokemon GO debut: Inkay and its Evolution, Malamar. Take note that Inkay will only evolve under unique circumstances. Ask your friends who've journeyed through the Kalos region in Pokemon X and Pokemon Y about the specifics.
  • New unlock: The next part of the Season of Mischief Special Research story, Misunderstood Mischief. Psychic-type Pokemon will be appearing more often in the wild. Take this opportunity to learn about the Psychic-type as well as Hoopa.
  • Psychic-type Pokemon like Abra, Drowzee, Gothita, Solosis, and more will be appearing more frequently in the wild. Lucky Trainers may even happen upon Elgyem and Inkay.
  • Field Research: completing themed Field Research tasks will net you a possible encounter with event-themed Pokemon like Woobat, Inkay, and more.
  • New Psychic-type-inspired stickers are available by spinning PokeStops, opening Gifts and at the in-game shop.
  • Don't forget to take a snapshot.

Psychic-type Pokemon in raids

One-star raids

  • Staryu (evolves into the Psychic-type Pokemon Starmie), Chimecho, Bronzor, Espurr, and Inkay.

Three-star raids

  • Alolan Raichu, Wobbuffet, Medicham, and Metagross.

Five-star raids

  • Lugia

Mega Raids

  • Mega Slowbro will continue to appear in Mega Raids.
