Trainers of the world will soon be able to enjoy a version of an ancient Aztec tradition in Pokemon GO. The Dia de Muertos event has recently been announced but we now have more details about the two-day celebration.
Dia de Muertos in Pokemon GO
Date and time
Monday, November 1, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, November 2, 2021, until 8:00 p.m. local time.
Event Bonuses
- Lure Modules will last for 90 minutes.
- Incense will last for 90 minutes.
- Double Catch Stardust.
Extra Bonuses
Trainers in Latin America and the Caribbean will get the following extra bonuses:
- +one Bonus Transfer Candy.
- The featured event Pokemon will be appearing even more often in the wild.
- Featured event Pokemon will be attracted even more frequently to Incense.
- Featured event Pokemon will be attracted even more frequently to Lure Modules.
Pokemon GO
Collection Challenge
There will be a Collection Challenge available during the event. Trainers who complete the Dia de Muertos Collection Challenge by the end of the event will win an encounter with a Shedinja, a Poffin and an Incense.
GO Battle Day
Monday, November 1, 2021, from 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. local time
Get ready to battle it out. Win rewards include four times the regular Stardust. The Pokemon GO Halloween Cup will be available in the GO Battle League until the end of the Dia de Muertos event.

- Murkrow*
- Houndour*
- Sableye*
- Roselia*
If you’re lucky, you might encounter the following.
- Sunflora
- Drifloon*
- Yamask*

The following Pokemon will be attracted to Incense and Lure Modules:

- Sunkern*
- Sunflora
- Murkrow*

If you’re lucky, you might encounter the following.
- Alolan Marowak*
