Why Do You Need Dark Fragment in Palworld 1.0?
Palworld 1.0 is full of mobility items that make your movement faster or combat smoother. You will need Ancient Bones, Nightstar Sand, and Dark Fragments to craft these items. Here's a look at every item that requires Ancient Bone for crafting:

- Air Walker MK I
- Air Walker MK II
- Air Walker MK III
- Double Air Dash Boots
- Triple Air Dash Boots
- Triple Jump Boots
- Xenolord Saddle
- Staryyon Saddle
- Smokie's Harness
- Homing Module
How to Find Dark Fragment in Palworld 1.0
Unlike most items that can be produced, mined, or crafted in Palworld 1.0. You need to manually farm this material by taking out or capturing different Pals on the map. Here are the Pals that have a chance of dropping Dark Fragments:
- Solenne
- Splatterina (Normal and Alpha versions)
- Kitsun (Normal and Alpha versions)
- Omascul (Normal and Alpha versions)
- Starryon (Normal and Alpha versions)
- Dazzi Noct (Normal and Alpha versions)
You'll find most of these Pals roaming around the Feybreak island of the map. For taking on these Pals, you'll need higher-tier Pals and equipment. Moreover, you will need to upgrade to spheres to higher-rarity ones to increase the chance of your capture. You can use the Pal Tamer's glasses to make the Pals 1 HP and then capture them with your spheres easily.
