Blizzard is gearing up to relaunch Overwatch once more as the game is approaching its 10-year anniversary. With a bold move, Overwatch 2 is finally rebranding back to Overwatch, as Blizzard has decided to remove the 2 from the game's title.
Aside from the title change, Blizzard is also introducing five new heroes to Overwatch, paired up with balancing adjustments and quality of life updates. One of these heroes is the new Tank hero, Domina. Here's a look at how Domina's abilities will work in Overwatch.
Domina’s Abilities in Overwatch
Heiress and vice president of Vishkar Industries. Though Domina is not a formal member of Talon, a partnership with Vendetta has granted Vishkar Industries lucrative redevelopment rights for territories under Talon control. She is one of the key heroes in the Talon narrative of Season 1.
Using advanced Vishkar technology, Domina is the first true poke tank since Sigma; she's an elegant long‑range controller with deadly zone dominance. Here's a look at her abilities and how they work in Overwatch:
- Photon Magnum (Primary Fire) - Medium-range beam that culminates in a high-impact shot.
- Barrier Array - A segmented hard‑light barrier deployed in front of Domina. Each segment must be individually destroyed, creating dynamic defensive angles.
- Crystal Charge - Project an explosive crystal and reactivate to detonate it.
- Sonic Repulsors - Push enemies back, stunning them if they hit a wall.
- Ultimate — Panopticon - Fire a hard-light barrier that imprisons enemies and detonates on expiration.
- Passive – Reconstruction - Dealing damage with abilities restores shields.
Domina is a Stalwart sub-role Tank. Her abilities and passives allow her to reduce knockbacks and slows received. Aside from that, her passive ability also allows her to restore shields by dealing damage with her other abilities. She falls in the same sub-role as Hazard, Junker Queen, Ramattra, Reinhardt, and Sigma.
