Blizzard is gearing up to relaunch Overwatch once more as the game is approaching its 10-year anniversary. With a bold move, Overwatch 2 is finally rebranding back to Overwatch, as Blizzard has decided to remove the 2 from the game's title.
Aside from the title change, Blizzard is also introducing five new heroes to Overwatch, paired up with balancing adjustments and quality of life updates. One of these heroes is the new feline support hero, Jetpack Cat. Here's a look at how Jetpack Cat's abilities will work in Overwatch.
Jetpack Cat’s Abilities in Overwatch
Jetpack Cat is Overwatch's first feline hero. Found as a stray in Gibraltar, little is known about Jetpack Cat other than how dangerous she is in fights, with quick reflexes and a kit befitting a mighty feline hero.
She's one of the two key players fighting with the Overwatch team in their fight against Talon. Here's a look at her abilities and how they work in Overwatch:
- Biotic Pawjectiles (Primary Fire) - Mid‑range projectile spread that heals allies and damages enemies.
- Lifeline - Toggle into transport mode, allowing an ally to be towed. Increases movement speed and heals your ally.
- Frenetic Flight - Accelerate in your movement direction. Fuel recovery is slower while carrying another player.
- Purr - Pulsing area heal that increases in frequency over time. Knockback nearby enemies when activated.
- Ultimate — Catnapper - Dive towards a ground location, knocking down enemies and tethering the nearest one to you.
- Passive – Jetpack - Permanent flight.
Jetpack Cat is a Tactician sub-role Support hero. With her passive sub-role ability, Jetpack Cat can gain excess ultimate charge, which carries over after using her ultimate ability. She falls in the same sub-role as Ana, Baptiste, Lucio, and Zenyatta. Also thanks to her little paws, she is a permanent aerial hero.
