Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is the latest installment in the Call of Duty franchise, and its campaign is already going under players' skins due to a very good story and, let's say, returning to the Black Ops' roots.
It is well known that the gameplay of every Call of Duty game follows a similar formula: shoot first, ask questions later, or maybe even never, where there's not much place for exploration, let alone solving puzzles and stuff like that.
However, in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, you'll come across a very interesting puzzle, and it is located inside the game's hub area, known as the safehouse, where you must find the combination for the safe located in one of the bedrooms on the second floor.
If this puzzle is giving you a headache and you don't know how to solve it, we've constructed a guide that will show you how to do it step-by-step, showing you the solutions to each puzzle you'll encounter along the way.
How to open the safe inside the safehouse
If you decide to explore the safehouse a bit, you'll eventually run into a safe located inside one of the bedrooms upstairs. Of course, if you're here and reading this, curiosity got the better of you and you're looking for the solution how to open this devil. Fear not, we have a solution.
First of all, to start cracking this case, you must go inside the basement. Look for the stairs close to a mission board on the first floor that leads into the basement. Once there, you'll find a generator and some valves with the leaking boiler. Close the valves and activate the power in this section; it will activate the power to the hidden section of the safehouse.
If you inspect one of the documents here, it will give you some hints mentioning the black light. Go upstairs and look for the active fireplace near the mission board. On the other side, you'll find another fireplace. Inside this room, next to the door that leads outside, on the small table next to the phone, you'll find the black light lamp. Take it because you'll need it for this puzzle.
In the same room, you'll find a piano you can interact with; don't do that just yet; instead, activate the black light lamp and inspect the wall above the piano. You'll see the 1MI sign written in Cyrillic (this is a KGB safehouse after all). Keep exploring the walls to find four more numbers with the musical note signs.
The entire sequence goes like this: 1 MI, 2 RE, 3 SI, 4 DO, and 5 RE. Now, approach the piano and turn the lamp on. Above the piano keys, you'll see the notes written in Cyrillic. Enter the shown sequence, and the hidden door, right next to the piano will open. Go downstairs and get ready for the next puzzle.
At the end of the hallway, you'll come across a door locked with the keypad. This might seem like a difficult task, but it isn't. All you have to do to discover the code here is to observe the keypad with your black light lamp. Some buttons have multiple fingertips on them, and those buttons are the ones you must enter.
The buttons with multiple fingerprints are 0, 8, 7, 9, and 4, but this is not the right sequence. To find the right sequence, you must mix them a bit, and once you place a number in the correct spot, the decryption log will inform you by placing a green sign next to it. If you do not want to guess on your own, the correct sequence is 8, 9, 4, 7, 0. Enter it, and you'll open the door.
Now for the next piece of the puzzle. This one is a bit easier, to be honest. Inside the next room, you'll find a computer you can hack. This is a pretty easy task because you'll get a code sheet at the bottom of the screen on which you must combine numbers with letters to enter three words. Do that, and the bunker door will be opened.
Now, exit the room, turn right, and go down the hallway. Enter the room on your left and through it, the room with the red lights whose door you just hacked open with the computer. Inside this room, you'll find a key on the table. Take it and proceed to the final piece of the puzzle.
Exit the current room and go right to return to the keypad door. Go down the right hallway and unlock the door to the left with the key you just acquired. You'll find yourself inside the room with two mannequins, an American flag, and much other random stuff.
Find the radio here and match its frequency by adjusting the sticks on your controller (or the corresponding keyboard buttons if you play with the mouse and keyboard). Once you match the frequency, the message will start broadcasting, mentioning several hints. Turn your black light lamp on and look for the four items mentioned in the message, which are a record player, rocket, film, and iron board.
Inspect those four items, and you'll see four numbers written on them. Those numbers are 5024, and this is the right safe combination. Go upstairs and enter this code inside the safe to open it and receive nice rewards, including a special knife, one thousand dollars, and, of course, the "The Puzzles, Mason" achievement.
