Blasphemous 2 has a large world packed with many secrets and areas that won't be accessible until you get your hands on certain abilities. Some secrets and items can even be found in the starting area but simply aren't accessible until later on in the game.
One of these secret areas that you'll find early on will be locked behind blue chain barriers. These are very frequent and you'll find them in many locations in Cvstodia. Below, we'll explain where to find the item that will allow you to get through impenetrable gates.

Don't bother trying to open these early on as the ability you need to penetrate them can be found later in the game. The skill you need is called Mercy of the Wind and can be found in the location called Crown of Towers which can be accessed through Choir of Thorns.

Mercy of the Wind is basically a variation of the dash skill that you have from the start of the game. The key difference is that this one can be used while you're in the air, allowing you to get across larger gaps and more importantly, break those blue chain gates.
This valuable skill will also help you reach other items that are placed at various locations on the map so we recommend you get it as soon as possible. Mercy of the Wind is also a great help in certain boss fights as it allows you to move faster and position yourself better for attacks.
