Windjammers 2 open beta is now live for everyone with a PlayStation 4 or a PS5 - no PlayStation Plus subscription required. The beta is now live and will go on until August 22.
Windjammers 2 is having an all-you-can-yeet open beta and everyone with a PlayStation 4 or PS5 is invited. The game has also been officially confirmed for both platforms.
Dotemu will release Windjammers 2 into the wild later this year but for now, you can enjoy the open beta for free even without a PlayStation Plus subscription. The beta will go on until August 22.
Windjammers 2 open beta content
The open beta will allow you to take four characters out for a spin. Meet your champions:
- Steve Miller (United Kingdom)
- Clever and agile, Steve excels at executing split-second reversals and tricky curved shots.
- Gary Scott (United States)
- Slow, but one of the game’s most powerful characters.
- Loris Biaggi (Italy)
- Swift, strong, versatile. His favourite hobby is not losing a step.
- Sophie De Lys (France)
- Fast and furious. No relation.
The Beta also features four stages:
Beach: a narrow court for fast games and quick throws.
Ring: a wide stage for those who like to tire out the competition.
Stadium: with a 5-point zone that grows larger when a player scores multiple times in a row.
Rooftop: a regular court, except for the bumpers that change the disc’s direction when they’re hit. Own goal, anyone?
Windjammers 2 will feature competitive elements and ranked matches, a fact that is echoed in the game's beta. Other features remain a secret for now, but all will be revealed when Windjammers 2 launches on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 later this year.
