After a dry spell of new map introductions in Episode 4, VALORANT enthusiasts eagerly anticipated fresh battlegrounds.
The game currently boasts nine playable maps, with the latest addition being Lotus in the 6.00 update. Now, thanks to ValorLeaks, the gaming community gets a sneak peek at the upcoming tenth map, Sunset.
Sunset is poised to offer a distinct gaming experience. Although its initial color palette might remind players of Ascent, closer inspection reveals significant divergences in map design and layout. What's more, Sunset finds its inspiration in the vibrant city of Los Angeles, California.
This marks the second VALORANT map situated in the United States, enhancing the game's global map diversity. While the precise location on Earth, either Alpha or Omega, remains undisclosed by ValorLeaks, it is reasonable to speculate that Sunset belongs to the Omega Earth category.
Unlike some of the recent maps, it won't feature special map elements such as teleporters or one-way zip lines. Given the lukewarm reception to the last three map additions, Lotus, Pearl, and Fracture, players are cautiously optimistic that Riot Games will deliver a map that resonates more positively with the community.
When Will Valorant Sunset map Release?
The much-anticipated Sunset map is slated to make its official debut with the Episode 7 Act 2 update, scheduled for release on August 29, 2023.
