TCL presented their latest TV products today and revealed via a slide that they expect improved Xbox Series X|S consoles and PS5 Pro to hit the market in 2023 or 2024.

The new generation has not even kicked off properly and many developers are still learning how to extract every bit of power from the new PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles, but some companies expect new and improved hardware to arrive in only a couple of years from now.

TV company TCL revealed today during their latest product presentation that they expect a PlayStation 5 Pro console and new Xbox Series X|S consoles in 2023 or 2024.

In the slide that you can see above, TCL reveals that the new consoles could target 4K resolution and 60 to 120 FPS output or even 8K resolution at the same frame rate. The expected GPU chip that consoles would use is AMD's upcoming RX 7000 series.

Of course, at this point, this is just a lot of guessing and speculation since Microsoft and Sony are yet to confirm that such consoles exist. If there are plans at both companies for improved consoles, we should probably hear more about that in a couple of years. 2023 does seem very early and if we had to bet on the release year for new consoles, 2024 would be the earliest to expect the new gaming hardware.
