Sometimes, you just can't talk yourself out of a situation and violence remains the only option. But Numenera wouldn't be true Torment if it wasn't all about narrative and choice. So when daggers and spells start to fly, you will still occasionally be given the chance to try and talk yourself out of a death grip.
A new Torment: Tides of Numenera trailer elaborates on various tools the game puts at your disposal for those solemn moments when you are just done with talking. Enlisting companions for martial purposes, summoning aid on the spot when the going gets tough or just punching out the biggest guy in sight so his buddies will think twice about causing more trouble, as always Torment lets you choose.
