Ubisoft and Massive said there's a brand new game mode named Countdown coming in Season 9 along with other new content so here's everything we know about The Division 2's Season 9 including the release date, new game mode pre-load date and more.
The Division 2 Season 9 release date
Ubisoft are yet to officially reveal the exact release date for The Division 2 Year 4 Season 9. The dev team say they cannot give those details just yet due to the current world events but will be revealing the date and more details as soon as they're ready.
The Division 2 Season 9 Countdown game mode details and pre-load
Players will be able to try the new Countdown mode on April 1 via a PTS.
Players will be able to pre-load the public test server build for a new Season 9 game mode starting on March 31, 2022, at 4:00 PM CET / 7:00 AM PST / 10:00 AM EST.
Countdown is a new 8-player endgame mode where two groups of four players are deployed to a power plant to prevent a lockdown. Players must work together to secure the location and stabilise the power plant as the clock is ticking down. Players then must extract as heavily armed and technologically advanced hostiles start pursuing them.
The public test server will be available only on the PC platform.
The Division 2 Season 9 Specialisation revamp
While Ubisoft and Massive previously revealed that Season 9 will introduce a major Specialisation rework, that won't be happening. The team confirmed in the latest update on Twitter that such changes will not be part of Season 9 but will be coming later in Year 4.
