Stardew Valley was developed by Eric "ConcernedApe" Barone and released back in 2016. The RPG recently got a big update that caused a spike in its player count.
Stardew Valley got a huge update recently and it looks like it sparked some new interest in the game. According to Steam Charts , Stardew Valley is currently enjoying the highest player count since May 2018 (54,212). The 24-hour peak player count is all the way up to 49,342.
Stardew Valley's 1.5 content update is available now on PC. The update will be available for the console crowd early next year and, although there is no timeline to speak of at this moment, an update for mobile versions of the game should soon follow.
