According to the latest leak over at Reddit, EA Motive's upcoming Star Wars game titled Project Maverick will strongly focus on single-player content with small co-op and multiplayer modes.
Not a lot has been said about the next Star Wars game from EA ever since the publisher teased the game earlier this year. We only know it is a smaller project than Jedi Fallen Order or Battlefront II and that EA Motive are currently working on it.
However, a fresh batch of info has been leaked over at Reddit. The leaker apparently got the info from a friend who worked as a writer for the game. As always, leaks and rumours are far from officially confirmed information so you should take this one with a grain of salt.
The leaker claims that the game will be titled Star Wars Battlefront: Project Maverick. Apparently, it is mostly single player with small co-op and multiplayer components but nowhere close to Battlefront II's online modes.
There are two campaigns - The Empire and The Rebellion - and both are similar to Battlefront II's single-player campaign in terms of length. On top of this, the gameplay is pretty similar to the Rogue Squadron games with the addition of on-foot section being the normal Battlefront II first-person gameplay.
As for the story, it serves as a prequel to Battlefront II and if you pick the Empire’s campaign, you’ll play as Del Meeko while the Rebellion campaign puts you in the boots of Shriv.
The post also states that there is a lot of fan service thrown in from the novels and the animated series so you'll get to meet young Iden Versio and a lot more. Check the full post here.
