Rockstar's parent company re-register Judas trademark

Take-Two have re-registered the trademark for mysterious project titled Judas according to the records from The United States Patent and Trademark Office database. Take-Two originally registered the trademark way back in 2016.

Back in April 2016, Take-Two, Rockstar's and 2K's parent company registered a brand new trademark along with a domain, which has been registered at agency MarkMonitor, an agency that also protects Rockstar's website.

This suggested that a brand new IP could be in the works at Rockstar but since then, we heard nothing about Judas. Take-Two interactive never commented on this trademark but that could change in the near future.

Earlier this month, the company have re-registered Judas trademark as seen in the United States Patent & Trademark Office database here.

Of course, this does not mean that Rockstar will suddenly announce a brand new game in the next month or so. However, Take-Two promised their largest and most diverse lineup of games for the upcoming years and these also include sequels and brand new IP so it would not surprise us to see Judas as one of the games in the pipeline.

Also, it is worth mentioning that Rockstar's new IP sometimes never see the light of the day. One of the examples is their espionage title named Agent, which was even announced in 2007 but sadly, was never released.

Whether Judas game is real or not, well, we will have to wait and see but do not expect it anytime soon since Rockstar are currently working on of GTA VI, which is still years away.
