Well I'll be a twice delayed cowboy, would you look at that? Rumours have indeed turned out to be true and just like its in-house colleague Grand Theft Auto V, Red Dead Redemption 2 is getting a gameplay trailer some 70 days before launch.
Let's ignore for a moment the fact that Rockstar is once again making us announce an announcement and instead, say that it's been about darn time we've seen Arthur Morgan in actual action. Yeah, controlled action and not the trailer stuff we've been fed so far, as exquisite as it may have been.
So, Rockstar will be unleashing the trailer tomorrow, on 09 August 2018 at 11am ET, which is 3pm in GMT and 5pm in CET so work your way from there. Hopefully, it doesn't get delayed. Twice.
Jokes aside though, it seems that Rockstart finally feels confident about letting Red Dead Redemption 2 loose on the Great Unwashed. For starters, this means there will definitely be no more delays, for better or worse.
More importantly however, we get to see how Rockstar framed what many are perhaps prematurely calling a masterpiece. While I'm not disputing the likelihood of the company hitting another one out of the park, I'd rather skip to the juicy stuff and see it in action.
As you can see from the photo below, the company already started posting Red Dead Redemption 2 posters in New York , which again confirms we're in the final stretch. Well, that or Rockstar just like painting the town red.
The most dedicated of Red Deaders have received goody packages from Rockstar a few days ago, which apparently did well to appease them. I could be wrong, because this is purely a personal account, but I haven't seen a single package recipient that's still disgruntled over a game that was meant to launch in 2017. Oh well, goodies do that.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is on track for 26 October 2018 launch for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. There have been rumours that Rockstar will launch the game for PC as well but that rumour well seems to have dried up since.
