Ubisoft dropped their official reveal of Tom Clancy’ Rainbow Six Tactics today during Gamescom Opening Night Live 2026. Rainbow Six Tactics is a single-player tactical game that takes the acclaimed shooter series in a new direction, swapping run-and-gun gunplay for tactical turn-based gameplay.
Operators can be seen fighting through destructible environments and coordinating attacks with team members in the reveal trailer. While the gameplay certainly feels reminiscent of tactical strategy games like XCOM, Rainbow Six Tactics retains the series IP and focus on unique operators.
Rainbow Six Tactics is anticipated to release in 2027, following the release of Rainbow Six Extraction in 2022. It will serve as the first console Rainbow Six game since.
