PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds may be getting a co-op campaign. While the plans aren't official at this point, Brendan 'PlayerUnknown' Greene said he was playing around with the concept and that a campaign may be added sometime after the game leaves Early Access.
PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is a pure multiplayer experience, but there is very little standing in the way of single-player or co-op making it into the game at some point down the line. Brendan "PlayerUnknown" Green said that he has been toying around with the idea of a co-op campaign for the game sometime after it leaves Early Access.
Players should, according to a stream hosted by Game Informer, liberate parts of the already existing multiplayer arenas from military occupation, base by base. The campaign would be set in the 70's.

This was, kind of, my concept for it", Greene said in the .
Greene went on to say that there are no concrete plans for a campaign on any roadmap for the game, but that it's an idea he is toying with and implementation might occur sometime after the game's definitive departure from Early Access. At this point, he called it a "big dream".
