TaleWorlds Entertainment have released Mount & Blade: Bannerlord to Steam Early Access, quickly racking up players due to the high anticipation. There are some discounts for the series' fans in case of purchase.
Mount & Blade: Bannerlord has launched to a steadily growing number of players, sitting at around 50,000 concurrent Steam users in-game at the time of writing. Considering the prolonged wait, it is not much of a surprise everyone rushed to play it but the numbers are still impressive since they were taken before the prime time.
Then again, the isolation due to Coronavirus may or may not have had some impact on the number of people who jumped into the Early Access.
While the game is not a fully priced AAA title, TaleWorlds threw in a 10 per cent discount for those who purchase Bannerlord by 13 April 2020. In other words, the price goes down from $49.99 / €49.99 to $44.99 / €44.99. Those who own the previous entry, Mount & Blade: Warband, will get an additional 10 per cent off.
Those who waited out the release are probably ecstatic right now since Warband was released exactly one decade ago. Following all those years, the harvesting season has finally arrived and those with powerful enough rigs can enjoy themselves some bloody sieges.
On the system requirements from, Mount & Blade: Bannerlord is not particularly heavy, despite the massive battles that will inevitably happen over the course of one's play sessions.
Minimum requirements include an Intel i3-8100 or AMD Ryzen 3 1200 CPU, 6GB RAM and GeForce GTX 660 2GB or AMD Radeon HD 7850 2GB. A total of 60 GB of free space will be required. Even the recommended specs don't dip into high-end hardware though. You can check it all out on Bannerlord's Steam page , along with the devs' explanation why they are going for Early Access.
