Half-Payne | I'm filling in for Gordon today.

Max Payne 1 and 2, Manhunt, Dead or Alive trilogy, Red Dead Revolver and more have been added to the old Xbox marketplace.

Xbox have been adding new backwards compatible games regularly but we didn't get an update on new additions for quite a while. We expect that to change at the upcoming Xbox 20th anniversary event, which is a perfect place for such an announcement.

And while we wait to hear the official news regarding the new backwards compatible games, Xbox have added several new titles to the old Xbox marketplace, which suggests these could be the new backwards compatible titles.

Here is the full list of newly added games:

  • Dead or Alive 1, 2 and 3
  • Manhunt
  • Max Payne 1 and 2
  • Oddworld: Munch's Odyssee
  • Red Dead Revolver
  • Star Wars Clone Wars and Episode III
  • Thrillville

Of course, this is not a confirmation that these games will indeed be added to the backwards compatible program. It's also possible that this is just a part of a bigger list that Xbox plan to reveal soon. All in all, just take it with a grain of salt until we get the announcement from Xbox.

Xbox backwards compatible program currently includes over 500 Xbox 360 games and over 40 original Xbox games. All backwards compatible games come with improvements such as improved frame rate, resolution and anisotropic filtering for sharp visuals.
