A full list of initially available NES games on Nintendo Switch Online has come to light, along with titles for three upcoming months. They include some of the most well known classics such as Donkey Kong, Mario Bros and Double Dragon.

Nintendo Switch Online launch is just around the corner and the full list of initial 20 available NES games is here. Super Mario Bros, Donkey Kong, Double Dragon and The Legend of Zelda will likely be the names that will attract the most attention among fans but some of us are also Kunio-Kun fans, so it was heartwarming to see River City Ransom among the first 20 titles as well.

The full list of the initial 20 titles is as follows:

  • Soccer
  • Tennis
  • Donkey Kong
  • Mario Bros.
  • Super Mario Bros.
  • Balloon Fight
  • Ice Climber
  • Dr. Mario
  • The Legend of Zelda
  • Super Mario Bros. 3
  • Double Dragon
  • River City Ransom
  • Ghosts'n Goblins
  • Tecmo Bowl
  • Gradius Pro
  • Wrestling
  • Excitebike
  • Yoshi
  • Ice Hockey
  • Baseball

October, November and December will bring three new games each. October's lineup will consist of Solomon's Key, NES Open Tournament Golf and Super Dodge Ball. The latest one is another entry in Kunio-Kun series but there aren't any other mentioned yet.

November's lineup will feature another hard hitter - Metroid. Some fans may have found that the game's exclusion from the original 20 was disheartening but better late than never, right? Metroid will be joined by Mighty Bomb Jack and TwinBee.

December will see the release of Wario's Woods, Adventures of Lolo and another high profile title - Ninja Gaiden. While the last one is recommended to masochists, it has also presented a source of entertainment for anyone who simply enjoys a challenging game.

One interesting takeaway is that there is not a single basketball title in the initial 20 nor in the lists for the three following months. Nintendo have stated they didn't decide which games will be featured in months to come in 2019 so old school basketball game fans could hope they will get some of their favourite games some time next year.
