Griffin's stay at the top of LCK has been cut short as the player roster is largely leaving the team. Son "Lehends" Si-woo, the team's former support left after Kanavi and joined the not-too-promising Hanwha Life Esports.

Lehends leaving Griffin was not entirely unexpected but there were some doubts due to stern claims from the team management that they were not looking to trade or sell anyone on their roster. Kanavi becoming a free agent sooner than expected is due to the team's horrible mismanagement and bad contract. The player was released into free agency only after massive outside pressure, despite the free agency announcement after the initial return from loan at JD Gaming.

However, Lehends' story is a bit different since he was a starter in the team and there was no incident regarding a slave contract. Anyway, Griffin's problems and the impending management purge could have influenced the decision to let their support transfer to Hanwha Gaming .

As for Lehends' team choice, many fans started wondering why he didn't get into a high tier team as his skills are good enough to warrant a spot just about anywhere.

Some are speculating that the rumoured $700,000 salary is the reason Lehends accepted HLE's offer which is not a bad decision if we are being perfectly frank. At just 20 years of age, Si-woo is set to soon become a self-made millionaire if the numbers are true.

On the other hand, HLE have a decent roster with a healthy mix of experienced veterans and young talent which could go a long way. CuVee and Haru are the veterans from SSG that also happen to have skins themed after them due to winning World Championship 2017.
