Josef Fares created two games thus far, both being well-received but the bulk of his fame likely comes from The Game Awards 2017. Now it appears his next game will be revealed in just a few days.

Josef Fares is the man behind Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons and A Way Out. Both games are co-op adventures and both have been well received by critics and players alike. A Tale of Two Sons even boasts 94 per cent positive reviews on Steam.

One would think such achievements would be the pinnacle of one's fame but Fares burst to the top of headlines in the gaming world back in 2017 when he joined Geoff Keighley on the stage during The Game Awards.

Between the colourful thoughts about the Oscars and positive thoughts about EA, no one was really surprised he became the talk of the town during the promotion period for A Way Out. With that much attention on him, it is no wonder that the man will likely be the focus of his next game's marketing campaign.

On that note, he has teased that "the next game" will be, well teased, on June 18, 2020. It is meant to happen during EA Play, which has been the company's main way of announcing news over the years.

Considering Josef's unique way of handling marketing, it's possible we will see more of the approach that earned him the "Drunk EA Guy" moniker. It seems like the company itself leaned into his charisma previously when he promoted A Way Out's play with friends program that required purchase of only one copy between the players.
