UK physical charts for last week's sales are in and Injustice 2 keeps holding onto its first spot. Overwatch made an appearance in the top ten thanks to the anniversary event price cuts. Ultra Street Fighter II ranks at number ten.
Last week's boxed sales chart topper: Injustice 2 continues to reign supreme this week. Warner Bros' first number one game in 2017 is the first fighting game in two years to top the sales charts. The last fighting game to reach number one was Mortal Kombat X, also developed by Nether Realm, and that happened back in 2015.
Sony's VR game Farpoint was a new entry on the chart last week, but it's nowhere to be seen in the top ten this week. It previously reached number two and that was the highest a VR game has ever ranked on a UK weekly boxed chart.
Instead of Farpoint, this week's second spot went to a certain shooter that celebrated its first anniversary last week. Overwatch had a 281 percent spike in sales due to the severe price cuts in celebration of the game's first year out. The average price of the boxed version was £24.50 on Xbox One and £26.25 on PS4. The will last until 12 June.
Grand Theft Auto V still sits comfortably at number three. Right about now, it is my duty to remind you of Prey's existence. The sci-fi shooter came in at number five.
Next up, we have . Even though the game came in sixth (same ranking as last week) its sales went up around 16 percent, and its not the only Nintendo Switch title to appear in this weeks' line-up. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild broke into the top ten again this week, and it landed at number nine.
Beside Overwatch, another surprising name to pop up in the top ten is Dishonored 2, which sneaked onto the eighth spot. The only new entry to appear in last weeks' boxed sales chart is Ultra Street Fighter II at number ten.
