Guerrilla Games will soon be releasing a new patch for Horizon Zero Dawn. In addition to the usual progression and technical issues getting a fix, the photo mode will receive a couple of tweaks and some new features.
Horizon Zero Dawn is beautiful . No question about it. That beauty has inspired many, if not all, of its players to take full advantage of the Photo mode. Guerrilla took notice, and in addition to updating the mode they had their lead lighting artist and in-house photographer Roderick van der Steen select a couple of his favourite screenshots and comment on them. There is a gallery under this article for you to enjoy.
Now I mentioned an update. The 1.20 version of Horizon Zero Dawn will be chock full of features such as a slider to adjust the camera/aim sensitivity, improved tutorials and HUD customization options. Don't worry, we'll go through some of them here, and the full patch notes will also be linked to, at the end of this article.
There may be spoilers ahead.
The patch will tackle progression and technical issues as well as crashes. Now that we have the technical side out of the way, lets dive into some of the new features.
What exactly is coming to photo mode: they'll be adding some new poses for Aloy to strike, and some facial expressions to boot. She'll also be able to look at the camera. Three new filters will be added, along with an option to make "greetings from" cards.
After the patch goes live, you'll be able to sell stacks from your inventory by double tapping the square button. You'll even be able to sell multiple different items to the merchants by using the triangle button to select stuff.
Inventory will probably become a tad more organised as you'll have the option to categorise and sort the items. Crafting menu will have different colour categories from now on: finished (green), recipes that can be crafted (white), no craftable recipes (grey).
Spanish language will also be added to the North American copies. Spanish subtitles will be available, and Spanish audio will be supported via a Spanish VO pack that can be downloaded from the North American PlayStation Store. The voice pack will be available in the week of 08 May. The full patch notes are here .
