Daedelic Entertainment have officially released the first trailer for their upcoming stealth adventure game The Lord of the Rings: Gollum. It is a CGI trailer and sadly it does not show much.
The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, upcoming stealth adventure from Deadelic Entertainment, has its first teaser trailer. Sadly, it's a short one and also CGI so do not expect any gameplay or a deeper look at the game.
The trailer shows the creature's lair, which we all know from the iconic films and there's also our first look at the Mordor's landscape with volcano eruption and Black Gates in the distance. It is safe to say that the trailer is quite moody and has that The Lord of The Rings tone from the films.
Other than that, we did not get to see much. Hopefully, this is the start of a bigger marketing campaign for the game with more info and details in the near future. Earlier, Daedelic Entertainment confirmed that Gollum is targeting 2021 release window so the game is still quite far away. Also, the devs confirmed that it is coming to PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
Earlier this year, we first batch of screenshots from the early alpha stage of the game. You can take a closer look at those in our earlier coverage.
In case you are not familiar with the game, Gollum follows the creature of the same name and will focus on stealth gameplay, emphasizing player choices. Since the creature has split personality, it is possible that sometimes it refuses to do some things, which definitely opens up interesting gameplay options.
