Grand Theft Auto VI might have big development issues and could end up being disappointing to some, claims leaker.
GTA VI is yet to be officially announced and it will probably stay that way for quite a while since rumours suggest that the game won't be coming before 2024 with a potential announcement set for 2022 or 2023.
The latest leaks reveal that the development is not going well, describing it as "chaotic", which could probably be said for most AAAA titles.
Twitter user AccNGT, who accurately leaked Star Wars Eclipse info before the official reveal at last week's The Game Awards 2021 show, says that GTA VI could disappoint many fans.
"Some people don't realise how chaotic the development is. I really think there will be a disappointment for many people for some aspects (not the graphics side)," he tweeted.
When asked what these potentially disappointing aspects are, AccNGT simply replied "Story".
Many GTA fans were already worried that GTA VI's story might be sub-par when compared to previous instalments in the series since GTA mastermind Dan Houser and veteran writer Lazlow Jones both left Rockstar Games last year.
It's also safe to say that GTA's traditional satire in today's day and age would be a lot more problematic than before. Whether Rockstar decided to sanitise GTA VI's writing it remains to be seen, but it does seem that the leaker is suggesting that the story could be much lighter than in previous games, at least in terms of satire and controversy.
