GTA V on the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles could be the best GTA V version, as it will use the engine that was used for the Red Dead Redemption 2, according to a GTA insider.
GTA V Enhanced for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Series S might use Rockstar’s updated Red Dead Redemption 2 RAGE engine, according to Rockstar insider who goes by the name Tez2 on GTA Forums, and who was already a couple of times spot on with some earlier GTA related leaks and rumours.
He dug up some game data that indicates that the game will use the refined engine, instead of the one used in 2014 re-release.
'Found out new structs that were added with the recent update relating to the standalone version and one of them is "rage::fwuiMessageBase", which is from RDR2's RAGE version, so that seems to go along what @Spider-Vice & @uNi stated, that the enhanced edition is likely to utilize RDR2's RAGE version”, ‘Tez2 wrote . “However, it could just be that the UI would utilize RDR2's base code, while the rest remains the same.'
Red Dead Redemption 2 is still one of the best looking games to date, and its engine could really do some sweet justice to GTA V on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. While at it, we wish that Rockstar would release a patch for RDR2 that will utilize the better hardware and offer 60FPS performance.
GTA V Enhanced was officially announced back in June 2020, and it will feature a range of technical improvements, such as visual upgrades and performance enhancements that will take full advantage of the latest hardware, making the game more beautiful and more responsive than ever.
