Fans who bought the unfortunate remastered bundle of the GTA Trilogy have had several reassurances from Rockstar but it appears that the company is looking to offer something more.
Rockstar's worst launch in as long as anyone can remember keeps haunting the company's reputation for a good reason. The supposed remasters of the three classic GTA games that brought the series to 3D space have been straight up downgrades in several aspects but they also cost the customers the price of a AAA game.
The company previously assured players that future patches will work on fixing these issues but many remain doubtful because these issues seem impossible to fix without an actual overhaul.
Anyway, Rockstar started offering more incentive for the owners of GTA Trilogy: TDE through the rest of their portfolio. Anyone unfortunate enough to have bought the horror show of a remaster will now be able to claim one other Rockstar title at no extra charge . The list of eligible games includes:
- Bully: Scholarship Edition
- GTA IV: Complete Edition
- GTA V: Premium Edition
- LA Noire
- Max Payne 3
If you don't want anything from the list or have the games already, you can opt to grab some free currency in either GTA Online or Red Dead Online. In the case of GTAO, you can get the Great White Shark Card, which translates to $1.25 million, or a smaller haul from a single Cayo Perico run.
For Red Dead Online, you can get 55 Gold Bars, which is equal to a $20 "microtransaction" and can grant you access to either roles or cosmetics from the catalogue.
