Ubisoft announced that the next For Honor hero is joining the next week but many players won't be getting it until August. Oh, there is also a free weekend around.
Kyoshin will join For Honor on July 22, 2021, when the new hero will be available for $7.99 / €7.99. Those who wish to purchase Kyoshin for 15,000 Steel instead will have to wait until August 5, 2021.
This new hero will belong to the Samurai faction and will be a bit different from other fights in that they don't mess with freaky spirit magic. Kyoshin does though and can sometimes use it to incapacitate enemies long enough to close in and finish them off with the blade.
Given the makeshift eyepatch, katana and spirit magic, this character looks like it's been ripped straight out of an anime but there appear to be other inspirations too as one of the skins bears impeccable resemblance to Yasuo from League of Legends. Let's just hope this one doesn't end up being as toxic.
Anyway, Kyoshin is not the only news of the day as PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S players will be able to enjoy a free weekend until July 19, 2021. As usual, players will get full access to the Standard Edition of For Honor and those who wish to purchase the game afterwards will have their progress carried over.
Furthermore, PC players will be able to grab a copy of the game for up to 85 per cent off while the free weekend lasts.
