FIFA 23 announcement is just around the corner but until EA decide it's time to finally drop the details on the next iteration of the world's most popular football game, we have some big leaks, courtesy of Microsoft leaker Aggiornamenti Lumia.
The closed beta for FIFA 23 has been added to the Xbox database along with the official file size, which is 38.85GB for Xbox Series X|S consoles and 37.31GB on the Xbox One consoles.
On top of this, the leaker also shared the cover art of the closed beta that suggests a well-familiar face could be returning to the main cover art.
Yep, it's PSG striker Kylian Mbappe as you can see in the image below.
Mbappe is also rumoured to be the highest-rated player in FIFA 23, which will probably start a couple of debates among fans since both Messi and Ronaldo are still alive and playing.
Furthermore, we have the first screenshot of FIFA 23, featuring Man City players including the star signing Erling Haaland, celebrating a goal. You can check out the image above.

As you probably know thanks to earlier rumours, FIFA 23 will be the last FIFA game made by EA Sports. FIFA have said previously that they are searching for perfect partners that would help them develop the next FIFA game.
EA will have to rename their football game but will retain all licences since it's only the "FIFA" name that they won't be able to use moving forward.
As long as EA have their Ultimate Team mode, we doubt players will be moving to whatever FIFA come up with but it will be very interesting to see how this battle between EA and FIFA pans out.
