Today, Codemasters have announced F1 2021, the next edition of the official F1 game, which will be coming on July 16, 2020, with new features like Braking Point story mode, Two-Player career and much more.

F1 2021, the first in the series to be published by EA has been officially announced by developer Codemasters with a cool-looking trailer. The game's release date has been set for July 16, 2021, and pre-orders are now open on all platforms.

Speaking about platforms, as expected, F1 2021 will launch on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. Players will be happy to hear that the game supports Smart Delivery and free upgrade programs on Xbox and PlayStation, respectively, which means you get the game for free on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S if you purchase on last-gen.

Codemasters also promise better visuals on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S as well as faster loading times.

As for the new features, Codemasters promise new tracks which will feature in the real world Formula 1 championship this season. These include the Portimao, Imola, and Jeddah circuits available as free post-launch content.

Additionally, a brand new story mode is coming named the Braking Point, which will take players from Formula 2 to Formula 1 with the F2 rival Devon Butler making a return too. As for the career mode, you will be able to play with your friends thanks to Two-Player mode, which allows you to join your career online and play co-operatively – or choose a rival team and race against you, each player having full control over their driving assists.

Driver-manager mode My Team returns, as does two-player split-screen, shorter-season options for both F1 and F2 Esports. You can find more details in the announcement here
