Disney have officially announced that Lucasfilm Games is now the identity for all their gaming titles. This means that future Star Wars games will adopt Lucasfilm branding instead of EA, who are usually behind the development of the games.

Star Wars and other Disney video games will now live under Lucasfilm Games umbrella, Disney announced in today's announcement on their official website.

Lucasfilm Games will be the official identity for all new titles which suggests we may not see EA logos taking the spotlight in the future.

Here is the important bit from the official statement:

"StarWars.com is thrilled to reveal that Lucasfilm Games is now the official identity for all gaming titles from Lucasfilm, a name that encompasses the company’s rich catalog of video games and its eye toward the future. To mark this new era, Lucasfilm Games has launched social channels on Twitter ( @LucasfilmGames ) and Facebook ( @LucasfilmGames ), which will deliver breaking news and more directly to fans."

The special sizzle reel, which you can watch above, showcases the history of games that were released under Lucasfilm Games over the years.

Anyway, if you're still not quite sure what exactly this change means, worry not, since we're also haven't cracked it just yet.

Guess we'll just have to wait for Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order 2 in order to see what this new branding actually means for the game's splash screens.
