Quantic Dream's former PlayStation 4 exclusive Detroit: Become Human launches on PC tomorrow and the dev tweeted out the minimum and recommended hardware specs. If you're more of a trial-and-error person, however, you should know there will be a free demo on Epic's store.
Detroit: Become Human's launch on the Epic Games Store completes the migration of David Cage's trilogy to PC, where it will continue with a different sort of exclusivity - Epic's.
As for the specs, Quantic Dream said that they'll release more specs once the game's gone live. In other words, they'll know more once they have actual Detroit: Become Human data, but they provided the general minimum and recommended specs.
On the lower end, the dev strongly recommends a CPU with 6 to 8 logical cores, and either GTX 780 or HD 7950 graphics. Experiencing Detroit: Become Human in all its glory, however, will take more juice than that, so we're looking at either i5 8400 @ 2.8GHz or Ryen 5 1600.
The posted specs are as follows:
Minimum Spec:
- OS: Windows 10 (64 bit)
- Processor: Intel Core i7-3770 @ 3.4 GHz or AMD FX-8350, 4.2 GHz (6 to 8 logical cores minimum highly recommended)
- Memory: 8GB RAM
- Video: Nvidia GeForce GTX 780 or AMD Radeon HD 7950
- Video RAM: 3GB or more
Recommended Spec:
- OS: Windows 10 (64 bit)
- Processor: i5-8400 @ 2.8GHz or Ryzen 5 1600
- Memory: 16GB RAM
- Video: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 or AMD Radeon RX 580
- Video RAM: 4GB or more
