You may think of Quantic Dream and David Cage what you will but the man knows his storytelling and the trailer for their upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive Detroit: Become Human is definitely more enticing than everything we've seen so far.
The trailer again focuses on the game's three protagonists, Kara, Connor and Markus, who've all got a role to play in Cage's grand design.
This time however, it shows more of protagonists' back stories as well as more possible outcomes. Don't worry about spoilers either because Detroit: Become Human is said to be unspoilable - player actions will heavily influence the story after all.
In case you're not familiar with the characters, Kara starts off her story after rebelling against domestic abuse, something which Quantic Dream had even been criticised for . Markus is sort of your android freedom fighter while Connor is the Blade Runner of the bunch, decommissioning his brethren to earn a living. Or oil, whatever's his poison.
So far we've learned the game will run at 30 frames per second on both PlayStation 4 and PS4 Pro, both with HDR although only Pro will have the advantage of 4K resolution. Detroit: Become Human requires 41.4GB of space and it is said that if you strictly follow the story, you've got some 8-10 hours of gameplay.
Just in case you didn't catch it, Sony's promotion of the game in Japan resulted in the launch of Tokyo: Become Human trailer, which you can see below. We're not sure whether David Cage personally had anything to do with it, but if the intensity of performance is anything to go by, he must have.
Beancounter Michael Pachter recently pegged Detroit: Become Human at about 3-4 million copies sold, which isn't bad considering it's a singleplayer only title with somewhat of a different sort of following to Sony's other exclusive heavyweights Horizon: Zero Dawn and God of War.
So, all that's left is for Quantic Dream to roll out Detroit: Become Human in a few days, so we can have a proper go.
