Activision have announced that the latest instalment in the Crash Bandicoot series, Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time, is going to jump and wump onto the Next-gen consoles and Nintendo Switch on March 12, and PC later this year.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch on March 12, 2021, and to PC (Battle.net) later this year (the release date on PC has not yet been announced).

Owners of Crash Bandicoot 4 on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, will be able to upgrade their version of the game within the same console family and carry over the game progress with to the Next-gen.

For those who don't have Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S owners can purchase the previous generation’s version of the game now and take advantage of the upgrade offer on March 12.

Switch and PC players can pre-order a copy of the game ($40), launching March 12 on Switch and later this year on PC.

Next-gen consoles (or current-gen, if you will) will render the game at native 4K resolution and support 60 frames per second (both Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5). Xbox Series S will upscale the game to 4K. PlayStation 5's DualSense controller features are going to be supported as well, just like 3D Audio. The ultra-high speedy Solid State Drives inside your trusty new consoles will make sure that loading times are faster than ever, which will come handy later in the game when things get tricky.

PC gamers will have to wait a little bit more for the release of this great platformer, but they will have the option of uncapped framerate for that extra smooth gameplay.
