Call of Duty: Warzone is Activision's most significant live-service title today. The game was released in 2020 alongside Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019).
Following the success of the Battle Royale giant, Activision, in collaboration with their parent studios, moved on to Call of Duty: Warzone 2 in 2022 with the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Moreover, they also announced the release of Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile for IOS and Android. The main focus of developing a mobile port for Call of Duty: Warzone was to create a broader player base and allow players to play their favourite Battle Royale on the game on the go with cross-progression.
Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile was available for limited play testing worldwide. The gameplay potential and in-game cross-progression left players wanting more. In a recent Call of Duty blog post, further details of gameplay and the worldwide release date for the game were revealed.
