Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is one of the biggest live service titles worldwide. The game was released in 2022 as a sequel to Call of Duty: Warzone 1.
Following the success of Call of Duty: Warzone and the widespread popularity of Call of Duty Mobile, Activision leaned into developing a full-fledged mobile port of Call of Duty: Warzone with original large-scale maps and cross-platform progression to make the Battle Royale experience portable.
Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile will be available on iOS and Android on March 21, 2024. While the release date is good news, many avid fans are eager to know if the game will feature controller support.
The team behind the game specified in the Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile worldwide release date announcement blog that the Battle Royale title will support controllers when it launches. The developers also revealed that players will have complete freedom over their accessibility options based on their play styles and preferences.
"Would you like to move the jump button to the left or have a larger virtual joystick? Almost every element in the controls UI can be personalized according to your preferences, including extensive HUD adjustments and detailed controller settings," the developers emphasized.
Activision did not reveal how to use a controller in Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile, but players could expect it to function similarly to Call of Duty Mobile. The supported controllers for Call of Duty Mobile include the PlayStation and Xbox Controllers, alongside many other third-party controllers.
Aside from the confirmation of controller support for Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile, the developers have not gone into the details of the matchmaking process for controller players. However, following Call of Duty Mobile, controller players can expect to be put in the same input matchmaking bracket instead of the usual mobile lobbies. The game's worldwide release will reveal further details on the Controller Support.
