Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has finally transitioned to the latter part of Season 2 with the mid-season update. The new Season 2 Reloaded update brings new map variations, weapons, and game modes. The new game modes include a Warhammer 40,000-inspired Juggermosh and a classic twist on TDM titled Bounty.
Of the new game modes included in the Season 2 Reloaded content drop, Bounty has caught the attention of multiplayer enthusiasts. Here's how the game mode works in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
Bounty Game Mode Explained
The Bounty is a team-deathmatch-like game mode. However, players have unlimited lives in this game mode, and the first team to reach the elimination-based score limit wins. Another thing that separates Bounty from Team Deathmatch is the inclusion of HVTs.
HVT or High-Value Target is a mark received by the top-fragger of each team. They carry a Red Flag and are constantly highlighted on TacMap. Eliminating an HVT awards the team bonus points, leading to a faster path to victory.
The winning strategy for Bounty would be always to eliminate the HVT while protecting your team's HVT. Bounty focuses on high teamwork, making it an ideal game mode for squad play. If you're playing the game mode solo, we recommend always sticking with your HVT.
The map selection for Bounty is limited to all core maps, including Shipment, Das Haus, Highrise, and Terminal. As for weapon loadouts, all weapons and attachments, including Launchers and Melees, are usable in the game mode.
Bounty is a fast-paced game mode as both teams constantly remain on each other's tail to eliminate the HVT. So, if you're diving into the Bounty game mode, we recommend picking up Assault Rifles, SMGs and Shotguns to kill other players quickly. You can also complete the Week 5 and Classified Sector challenges in this game mode and unlock the new weapons- SOA Subverter and Soulrender.
